Maha govt & armed forces meet to discuss security & preparedness

Mumbai, May 12 (UNI) Amidst India-Pakistan tensions, an important meeting on security and preparedness in Maharashtra was held between the armed forces and the state government at Chief Minister's bungalow Varsha, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, here on Monday.
In this meeting, Fadnavis assured that the state government will work in greater coordination with the armed forces.
Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar were also present at this meeting.
From the Indian Army Lieutenant General Pawan Chadha, Colonel Sandeep Seal, from the Indian Navy Rear Admiral Anil Jaggi, Naval Commander Nitesh Garg, from the Indian Air Force Air Vice Marshal Rajat Mohan were present at the meeting.
Also, representatives from Reserve Bank, JNPT, BPT, Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, Anti-Terrorism Squad, Home Guard were also present.
In this meeting, main discussion was on exchange of intelligence information, utilisation of technology and precautionary measures to be taken in event of emergency.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the strength and precision with which the Indian Army carried out Operation Sindoor is unprecedented.
"I salute the defence forces. A city like Mumbai is very important. It is the financial capital of India," he said.
"In the coming period, we will have to work with full force. In this situation, the exchange of intelligence
information is very important. Everyone will have to be more careful about cyber security," said Fadnavis.
"Let the senior officers of the state government and the defence forces work together with more coordination," he added.

Maha: ACB officials nab executive engineer for accepting Rs 30,000 bribe
