Afghanistan expresses protest to Pak over refugee mistreatment

Kabul, Feb 17 (UNI) The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (the self-designation of the state under the current government) on Sunday expressed protest to Pakistan in connection with unfriendly actions against Afghan refugees.
On Saturday, Pakistani police conducted raids on the homes of Afghan refugees in the city of Quetta and some other locations in Balochistan province, subjecting them to ill-treatment and forcing them to leave their homes. Besides men, there were 65 children and 30 women among those detained, according to the ministry.
"The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly protests and condemns such actions, and calls on international organizations to continue providing assistance and cooperation with Afghan refugees in this country [Pakistan] so that they can return home with dignity," the ministry said in a statement, as quoted by the RTA broadcaster.
