SLAF to develop National Education Management Information System

Colombo (Sri Lanka), Mar 27 (UNI) The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) is set to embark on an ambitious project to develop a unified software solution, the ‘National Education Management Information System’ for the Ministry of Education.
The initiative, aligning with the goals of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ campaign to enhance national efficiency through technological advancement, aims to integrate, streamline and enhance the operational efficiency of the various educational departments currently utilizing different software systems, according to a statement issued by the SLAF on Thursday.
The automated software solution is designed to address existing challenges within the education sector by providing a centralized platform beneficial for over 4.2 million students, 10,000 schools and approximately 240,000 teachers across the Island nation.
