Moscow, Mar 3 (UNI) A fire broke out at an oil refinery in the southwestern Russian city of Ufa, but poses no threat to local residents, the country's RIA Novosti news agency reported Monday.
"Preliminary reports indicate the fire broke out in the incinerator area of the facility, posing no threat to nearby residents," said the regional office of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"Emergency crews were deployed overnight at an elevated response level after receiving the fire reports," said the office, adding that a laboratory has been dispatched to monitor air quality.
The Telegram channel Baza reported that Ufa residents heard a noise resembling a drone before the explosion.
