US District Court orders DOGE to release internal records - Document

Washington, Mar 11 (UNI) A judge in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia has ordered the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, to urgently release its internal documents, according to the court ruling.
A government watchdog Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) has filed two Freedom of Information Act requests with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and one with DOGE to obtain information about the latter's role in the recent mass layoffs and shutdown of federal programs, the document issued on Monday evening said.
"The Court will direct the government to file a status report by March 20, 2025, including the estimated number of documents responsive to CREW’s three requests. The Court will further order the parties to meet and confer regarding a proposed processing and production timeline and to file by March 27 a joint status report proposing a schedule for expedited processing and rolling production of responsive records," the document read.
