NATO chief backs Trump's stance on Russia-Ukraine peace talks

Moscow, Mar 11 (UNI) NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Tuesday that he agreed with US President Donald Trump's position on the Ukrainian conflict, stressing his efforts to organize peace negotiations in which both Russia and Ukraine will take part.
"Here I would side with President Trump. First of all, I want to really note the fact that thanks to him there has now been a breakthrough when it comes to Ukraine in terms of starting the talks with both the Russians and the Ukrainians. That is important," Rutte said at a joint press conference with Kosovo leader Vjosa Osmani in Pristina.
During the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump vowed to end the Ukraine conflict within 24 hours of taking office. His special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, then said the conflict could end within 100 days of Trump taking office.
