BLA gives Pakistan military another headache after Operation Sindoor, kills 14 soldiers in IED explosion in Bolan

Quetta, May 8 (UNI) In a two-front-headache for the Pakistan Armed Forces, Baloch fighters have escalated their attacks against the military in Balochistan, following India’s successful execution of Operation Sindoor, which led to the destruction of various terror launch pads in POK and Punjab.
In a targeted attack on Pakistani armed forces' personnel carriers, the Baloch Liberation Army blew up a Pakistan Army truck with an IED explosive on Wednesday, killing 14 soldiers in the process.
A video on X by BLA’s official media wing showed the footage of a long and sustained watch by the outfit in the province’s Bolan region, showing Pakistani bomb squads sweeping the area, soldiers patrolling, and two EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) trucks passing by.
After extensive sweeping by the Army’s bomb detection and defusal forces, the area was deemed safe for the incoming Army truck to pass by. The moment the truck reached the designated target, the BLA fighters blew it to smithereens, eliminating every soldier on the spot.
This is in a long line of intensified attacks by the militant outfit on Pakistani military targets and infrastructure in the past few months, using IED tactics. Most notable of these was the hijacking of the Jaffar Express, where the outfit used a coordinated explosive attack to ambush and board the train.
