Seoul, Mar 16 (UNI) North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui met with a delegation from the Russian Foreign Ministry on March 15, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reports.
It was previously reported that a delegation from the Russian Foreign Ministry headed by Deputy Minister Andrei Rudenko arrived in North Korea on a visit.
The minister held a "friendly conversation" with the Russian delegation, whose visit was called "protocol," KCNA said.
It also reported that talks had been held on Saturday between the deputy foreign ministers of North Korea and Russia, Kim Jong Gyu and Rudenko, respectively.
The parties discussed in detail practical measures to intensify bilateral exchanges and cooperation in accordance with the agreements reached at the historic North Korea-Russia summit in June 2024, as well as in the spirit of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty between the two countries, the agency said.
In addition, steps were agreed upon to strengthen "mutual support and cooperation in the international arena."
It is noted that the talks were held in a "friendly atmosphere."
