Jerusalem, Apr 16 (UNI) The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have established control over more than 30% of the Gaza Strip since the resumption of hostilities in March, The Wall Street Journal newspaper reported, citing Israeli and Egyptian officials.
Most of the captured territories are in the south of the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli army has created a security corridor that completely includes the city of Rafah on the border with Egypt, the report said on Tuesday.
The IDF also plans to expand security zones in the northern part of the enclave, the report added.
