US Senate confirms Lutnick as Secy of Commerce

Washington, Feb 19 (UNI) The US Senate voted on Tuesday to confirm Howard Lutnick as the Secretary of Commerce.
During the confirmation vote, 51 senators supported Lutnick's nomination, while 45 spoke out against him.
US President Donald Trump nominated Lutnick in November, more than two months before his inauguration.
Lutnick is the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, a financial services firm, and a close ally of Trump.
