US to supply upgraded GLSDB bombs to Ukraine - Reports

Washington, Mar 14 (UNI) The United States is set to resume supplies of long-range bombs known as Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bombs (GLSDB) to Ukraine after they were upgraded to counter Russian jamming, Reuters reported, citing sources.
The report said the munitions will be sent amid reports that Kiev's supplies of Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) have been depleted.
It said the resumption of GLSDB supplies onto the battlefield could take place in the coming days, because there already is a stockpile in Europe. Ukraine last used the weapon months ago.
On Tuesday, a meeting between the US and Ukrainian delegations took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Volodymyr Zelenskyy's office published a joint statement following the talks, according to which Kiev is ready for the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia, with the possibility of extending it by mutual agreement. The document also said the US would immediately resume aid to Ukraine and lift the pause in intelligence sharing.
US President Donald Trump later expressed hope that Russia would agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine. Trump also said he planned to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin this week to discuss the issue.
Putin said on March 13 that he agreed with the US proposal on a ceasefire in Ukraine, but the ceasefire must lead to long-term peace and address the root causes of the crisis.
