Nitish now incapable of discharging CMs' responsibilities: Dipankar

Nitish now incapable of discharging CMs' responsibilities: Dipankar

Patna, Mar 22 (UNI) Communist Party of India Marxist Leninist (CPI ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya alleged that Nitish Kumar is no longer capable of discharging the responsibilities of the post of Chief Minister.

Bhattacharya on Saturday congratulated the people of the state on the occasion of Bihar Day and called for transformation of the state.

He said just a day before Bihar Diwas, a video of Kumar's abnormal behaviour during a public function went viral. During the national anthem, the Chief Minister was not even aware of what was happening, he alleged, saying that it is becoming clear from the public behaviour and statements of the Chief Minister in recent times that he is no longer in a position to discharge his responsibilities.

The people of Bihar need a clear idea about the real position of the Chief Minister, he said, adding that the prevailing situation was unfair to both the Chief Minister and the people of Bihar.

The CPI(ML) general secretary said that in Odisha, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had made a big issue of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's alleged serious health problems.

Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in one of his election speeches, had hinted at a political conspiracy over Patnaik's precarious health condition. But the BJP is completely silent in Bihar, and when the opposition raises questions about the CM's condition, senior leaders of the BJP-Janata Dal United (JDU) term it as unnecessary politics.

Bhattacharya said that once Kumar used to claim good governance and take credit for better law and order, but today the system has collapsed, and crime, corruption and communalism are out of control.

The NDA has the majority to run the government, but the chief minister was not in a position to run the government.

He alleged that the bureaucracy was running the government through proxy and was pushing Bihar into a state of uncertainty.
