NKorean Defense Minister says Pyongyang to provide unwavering support for Russian Army

Pyongyang, May 9 (UNI) North Korean Defense Minister No Kwang Chol said that Pyongyang and its armed forces will unwaveringly support the actions of the Russian army aimed at protecting the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the country, state-run news agency KCNA reported on Friday.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Russian Embassy in North Korea hosted a reception on the evening of May 8 and invited North Korean officials, including Vice-Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea Pak Jong Chon, Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui, and Defense Minister No Kwang Chol.
Defense Minister No Kwang Chol gave a speech and expressed deep respect for the generation of victors who gave Russia a great victory, and conveyed battle greetings to Russian soldiers and officers who are now fighting, giving everything to protect the dignity of the homeland, the well-being of the people and international justice, the report said.
He reportedly emphasized that Russia's victory in the Great Patriotic War not only protected the honor and dignity of the country and saved humanity from destruction, but also became a historical event that had a huge impact on the establishment of freedom and peace throughout the world.
