Organiser article on Catholic community is highly deplorable: Chennithala

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 6 (UNI) The article published in the RSS mouthpiece Organiser, saying that the Catholic community in India has 7 crore acres of land in their hands, is highly deplorable, Senior Congress leader and AICC Working Committee Member Ramesh Chennithala has said.
During the discussion on the Waqf Bill in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi and other leaders of the Congress party mentioned that the next step by the Sangh Parivar will be against the Christians, former Opposition leader in the Kerala Assembly Chennithala said.
"The Organiser article clearly mentions that the Catholic community in India has 7 crore acres of land valued at Rs 20,000 crore in their possession. The article was later withdrawn following Rahul Gandhi's criticism," he pointed out.
"Through the Waqf Bill, they could control the Waqf properties. The next target will be the properties owned by the Catholic community," he charged.
"The article in the RSS mouthpiece Organiser proves without doubt the chronology which the Sangh Parivar is going to take. This comes in the wake of the Wakf Amendment Act, which has made things crystal clear," he said on Saturday.
"The deep-rooted hate towards minorities is for everyone to see. First they targeted the Muslims; now on to Christians. The people of Kerala and this country must unite to fight the fascist regime and their mouthpieces unitedly," he added.
