Multan, Jan 19 (UNI) A brilliant display by Pakistan's spinners, led by Sajid Khan and Abrar Ahmed, saw the hosts defend a challenging 251-run target and defeat the West Indies by 127 runs in the opening Test at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Pakistan's bowlers restricted the West Indies to just 123 runs in their second innings, following a first-innings collapse that had seen the visitors bowled out for 137. The West Indies, having been set 251 to win, fell 128 runs short in a dramatic turnaround on Day 3 of the five-day Test match.
Sajid was the standout performer, taking five wickets for 50 runs in the second innings, bringing his match tally to nine wickets. The right-arm spinner reached a milestone of 50 Test wickets in the process.
