PM leaves for Trinidad and Tobago on second leg of five-nation tour

Accra/New Delhi, July 3 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi left Accra today for Trinidad &
Tobago, on the second leg of his five-nation week-long tour.

"Later this evening, I look forward to attending a community programme in Port of Spain,’’ the Prime Minister tweeted. Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will address the Parliament of Trinidad & Tobago.

"Looking forward to deepening ties with a valued partner in the Caribbean, with whom we share very old cultural linkages,’’ the Prime Minister said.

Earlier in Accra he addressed the Parliament of Ghana and said it was wonderful to interact with Ghana’s Members of Parliament after the address. "It was gladdening to hear their kind words about India,’’ he said.

He said he was grateful to Ghana President Mahama, the people and Government of Ghana for the warmth during his visit. "I am confident that together we will create a brighter future for our citizens!’’
