New Delhi, May 10 (UNI) In view of heightening tensions between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held high-level security meeting to take stock of the current border situation and to discuss strategy to counter Pakistan’s military misadventure.

The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Army Staff Gen Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and senior officials.

This is the second meeting, the Prime Minister held with Defence Minister Rahnath Sing and three Chiefs of defence services in the past 24 hours.

Notably, on Friday, Rajnath had chaired a high-level meeting to review the security situation along the western border and operational preparedness of the Indian Armed Forces, and attended by CDS Gen Anil Chauhan, chiefs of three services and Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.
