Bangkok/New Delhi, Apr 3 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with former Thailand Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in Bangkok today, during which they discussed the immense bilateral potential in areas like defence, trade and culture.
PM Modi said in a post on X:
“It was a delight to meet Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, the former Prime Minister of Thailand. He has extensive experience in matters relating to governance and policy making. He is also a great friend of India and had a very warm relationship with Atal Ji.
“Mr. Shinawatra and I talked at length about India-Thailand cooperation and how it benefits the people of our respective countries. We deliberated on the immense potential in areas like defence, trade, culture and more.”
The MEA spokesperson said in a post:
“PM @narendramodi met Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, the former PM of Thailand in Bangkok today.
“Both sides deliberated on the growing India-Thailand cooperation & ways to further explore opportunities in the field of areas like trade, culture & people to people ties.”
