PNV Madhav to be AP BJP state president

Vijayawada, June 30 (UNI) The BJP high command has announced the name of Pokala Vamshi Nagendra Madhav, popularly known as PVN Madhav, for the AP State president post.
According to the BJP sources, the BJP central leadership has chosen PVN Madhav for the AP BJP State president.
Rajahmundry MP D Purandeswari is the BJP state president and PVN Madhav is the BJP State General Secretary now.
Madhav filed his nomination in the State BJP office here. The formal election for the BJP AP State president post would be held on Tuesday in the State office here. Karnataka MP Mohan will be the election observer, sources added.

Madhav was elected to the Legislative Council previously and he also worked as BJP floor leader in the Council. He worked as RSS Karyavahak of Visakhapatnam and State joint secretary of ABVP. He also worked for a long time in the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch. PVN Madhav’s father late PV Chalapathi Rao was a senior leader in the BJP.
