Ayodhya (UP), May 7 (UNI) Preparations are being made to open the temporary temple built in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya for the devotees after giving it a new grandeur, a senior trustee said here on Wednesday.
Chairman of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee Nripendra Mishra said that preparations are being made to open the temporary temple built in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex for the devotees again. "This temple will be given a new grandeur. Devotees will be able to worship in this temple like the Ram temple," he said.
He said that the idol of Lord Hanuman, who was seated in the tent here for 28 years, is worshipped and consecrated. "Priests have been appointed here for daily worship. After the decision in favour of Shri Ram temple from the Supreme Court on November 9, 2021, the way for the construction of the temple was paved," he said.
Mishra said, "In February 2020, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust was formed by the central government for the construction of the temple. Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti was formed to monitor the construction of the temple. After this, on 25 March 2020, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath installed the idols of the four brothers including Ram Lalla seated in the tent in the temporary temple."
He said that this temporary temple was made of wood. "Ram Lalla remained seated in this wooden temple for three years and ten months and he was worshipped with full grandeur. After the ground floor of the temple was built, Ram Lalla was seated in the new sanctum sanctorum on 22 January 2024, but the idol of Lord Hanuman seated in the tent is still seated in the temporary temple," he said.
The Chairman said that because the life of wood is not long and the temporary temple is situated at a height, it will be given grandeur afresh so that devotees can worship here too. "A new design is being prepared. Twenty priests have been appointed by the trust for worship, raag-bhog service in the Ram temple. 14 priests used to perform worship in Ram temple in two shifts in the morning and evening while six priests have been deployed in the temporary temple. Arrangements for raag-bhog are made here on the lines of Ram temple," he said.
