Punjab: CEO meets political parties ahead of Ludhiana West by-poll

Chandigarh, Apr 9 (UNI) Ahead of the by-poll to the Ludhiana West Assembly Constituency, Punjab Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sibin C on Wednesday convened a meeting with representatives of recognised political parties to discuss the ongoing special summary revision of the photo electoral roll.
During the meeting, the CEO apprised the political parties of the draft publication of the electoral roll today. He informed them that the rationalisation and integration of polling stations in the constituency had been completed as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
The total number of polling stations in the constituency remains 192, all of which are urban. However, adjustments have been made to ensure none of the polling stations exceed the maximum limit of 1,200 electors, thus enhancing accessibility and electoral convenience.
