Punjab: SHO, ASI suspended for forcing two teenaged boys to 'perform indecent acts'

Phagwara, Apr 30 (UNI) SSP HS Virk has suspended SHO Lakhvir Singh and an ASI Dharmindar Singh of Mehatpur district Jalandhar for allegedly compelling two teenaged boys in police custody "to perform indecent acts with each other". The Ambedkar Dalit Sena has strongly protested against the incident and is demanding that an FIR under the SC/ST Act be registered against the two police officials.
DSP Onakar Singh Brar said today that these two officials have been suspended for misbehaving
with people.
The Dr BR Ambedkar Dalit Sena led by Ashwani Kumar state President will stage dharna in front of
police station Mehatpur district Jalandhar with the demand to register an FIR against SI Lakhvir Singh, SHO Mehatpur, and ASI Dharminder Kumar for humiliating two boys in police custody.
They have alleged that SI Lakhvir Singh SHO Mehatpur and ASI Dharminder Kumar rounded up two boys named Vikas, age 18 years, and Rohin age, 15/16 years, of village Jhuggian PS Mehatpur and took them to PS Mehatpur where they compelled them to perform indecent acts with each other.
They are demanding that an FIR be registered against SI Lakhvir Singh SHO Mehatpur and ASI Dharminder Kumar under the SC/ST Act for humiliating the two boys in police custody.
