Red alert in UP after 'Operation Sindoor': DGP

Lucknow, May 7 (UNI) After the action of the Indian Army against the terrorist camps inside Pakistan under 'Operation Sindoor', the Uttar Pradesh Police on Wednesday issued a red alert in the state as a precautionary measure.
A red alert has been declared in Uttar Pradesh after the precise action taken by the Indian Army on the terrorist hideouts under 'Operation Sindoor'. All field units of UP Police have been directed to coordinate with the defence units and strengthen the security of important installations.
Taking to X, Director General of Police (DGP), UP Prashant Kumar said, "Red alert has been declared in Uttar Pradesh after Operation Sindoor. Targeted attacks on terrorist hideouts by the Indian Army. All field formations of UP Police have been instructed to coordinate with the defence units and strengthen the security of important installations. UP Police is alert, equipped and fully prepared to ensure the safety of every citizen."
