Rice miller in Kaithal cheated of lakhs, two arrested

Kaithal (Haryana), Apr 13 (UNI) A rice mill owner from Cheeka, in Haryana's Kaithal district, was cheated of lakhs of rupees by two men, police said. One of the accused was arrested from Ahmedabad, in Gujarat.
A police team, led by CIA - 1 Incharge Paras Kumar, assisted by ASI Parveen and ASI Gurdan, arrested Rajesh Lilwani from Jawahar Colony, Sardar Nagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
A police spokesperson said that according to the complaint of Sachin Goyal, resident of Sector 20 HUDA, Kaithal, he has a share in Radha Krishna Rice and General Mill in Patiala Road, Cheeka. His wife Suman Goyal and nephew Aditya are also partners in the mill.
He has been supervising all the work of the mill for the last nine years. According to the government's policy, the purchase of paddy from the grain market, removing the husk and selling it is done through brokers.
Goyal knows Mumbai resident Parkash for the last five years. Prakash used to get rice from his rice mill and sell it in Mumbai and send his payment. In this way, Prakash won his confidence. Prakash told him in August 2024 that he is acquainted with the owners of Shreeji Enterprises, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and Sona Enterprises, Ahmedabad, and Tulja Bhavani Agritech Private Limited, Dewas, Indore.
He told him that the owners of the three firms, Deepesh and Mahesh are very good traders and buy rice from the market at a good rate and also pay on time. At the behest of Prakash, Goyal believed Dipesh and Mahesh and sent rice worth Rs 69.41 lakh from different places on September 6, 2024.
Later, when the payment was not received on time, he went and found that the addresses shown by the accused were fraudulent.
It was later revealed that the real name of the accused Deepesh is Rajesh Indralal Lalwani and Mahesh's real name is Rinku Jethwani.
A case was registered in the police station Cheeka.
In the above case, the two accused have already been arrested. Police remand has been obtained for eight days from the court for comprehensive questioning of accused Rajesh.
