Rupee up 21 paise  against USD

Mumbai, Apr 4 (UNI) The Rupee on Friday advanced 21 paise to close at 85.23 against USD, on brisk selling of US Dollar from foreign banks and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit rallied 38 paise to 85.06 in the opening session. Till the end of the session, it was slightly declined from the opening level, but finished positive only at 85.23, up 21 paise as compared to its last close.

The Rupee recorded intra-day high and low at 85.02 and 85.25 respectively, the dealer added.
