SC Collegium clears names of 2 Judicial officers for J-K & Ladakh High Court Bench

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) The Supreme Court Collegium on Wednesday recommended the elevation of two experienced judicial officers Sanjay Parihar and Shahzad Azeem as Judges of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
A statement released by the apex court confirmed: "The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on April 16, 2025, has approved the proposal for appointment of the following Judicial Officers as Judges of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh: (i) Sanjay Parihar (ii) Shahzad Azeem."
Born on December 19, 1968, in Horna Palmar, Kishtwar, Parihar embarked on his judicial career on December 1, 1997. He has held several key judicial positions, most notably as Principal District and Sessions Judge, Jammu, and Special Judge for Anti-Corruption (CBI Cases), Jammu. His courtroom decisions, including in sensitive cases under the Official Secrets Act, reflect his dedication to upholding justice and judicial integrity.
