SC Sub-classification: Telangana Cabinet Sub-Committee to present G.O to CM

Hyderabad, Apr 13 (UNI) The Cabinet Sub-Committee on Scheduled Castes (SC) sub-classification held a crucial meeting at the Secretariat here on Sunday.
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy.
The meeting was convened to finalise the groundwork for the long-anticipated Government Order (G.O.) on SC sub-classification.
Participating in the meeting were Sub-Committee Vice-Chairman and Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, along with committee members and Ministers Seethakka and Ponnam Prabhakar.
Also present were Shamim Akhtar, Chairman of the Single Member Commission, Principal Secretary of the Welfare Department Sridhar, Secretary of the Law Department Tirupati, and other senior officials.
Uttam Kumar Reddy confirmed that the G.O. on SC Sub-classification will be officially released on Monday.
He said the first copy of the G.O. will be presented to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
To continue deliberations and oversee the formalities of the implementation process, the Sub-Committee will convene a meeting again at 1100 hours tomorrow, an official release said.

on Monday evening said discrimination against dalits still exists in the State which
claims to champion social justice, and it was heartbreaking as he was remembered
only during polls for vote bank politics and that it was time for soul searching.
Speaking at an event commemorating the birth anniversary of Father
of Indian Constitution and Baba Saheb Dr. B.R.Ambedkar at Raj Bhavan
here, he took a veiled dig at the DMK regime and said he was remembered
only during elections and invoked his name for vote bank politics and forget
him after the polls.
