Sensex falls over 100 pts

Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Thursday slipped 188 pts at 76,427 in opening session as US Trump government imposed 26 per cent reciprocal tariff on Indian import.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 28.40 pts at 23,303.95 pts.

Advancing over 500 pts in the previous session, the BSE Sensex declined in the early trade as the Sensex registered intra days high at 76,430.44 pts and low at 75,807.55 pts.

The Nifty registered days high at 23,304.80 and low at 23,45.80 pts.

The Mid cap fell 0.15 pc and Small cap by 0.27 pc.

In 30 scrips, 18 advanced while 12 declined.

The losers were TCS by 2.95 pc to Rs 3442.50, Infosys by 2.76 pc to Rs 1507, Tech Mahindra by 2.75 pc to Rs 1384.50 and HCL Technology by 2.65 pc to Rs 1487.

The gainers were Sun Pharma by 4.07 pc to Rs 1784, Ultracemco by 1.34 pc to Rs 11,406.15, Powergrid by 1.34 pc to Rs 290.55 and Titan by 1.32 pc to Rs 3139.85.
