Mumbai, Mar 18 (UNI) Extending gains for another session on Tuesday, the BSE Sensex spurted 1131.31 pts, breaching the 75K level at 75,301.26 on the strength of Realty, Industrials, and Consumer Durable amid strong global cues.
Investors are keen to watch key policy decisions from the US Federal Reserve, and even China's stimulation measure too boosted the investors.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 325.55 pts at 22,834.30.
Gaining more than 300 pts on Monday, the Sensex went up by 77 pts at 74,608.66. During the day, it rallied 1216 pts at 75,38 a day high, before closing at 75,301.26 up 1131.31 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered a days high at 22,857.70 and low at 22,599.20 pts.
The stocks that pulled the market today were Realty by 2.95 pc followed by Industrials by 2.79 pc, Consumer Durable by 2.57 pc, and Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services by 2.76 pc.
The Mid-cap rose by 2.10 and the Small-cap fell by 2.73 pc.
In 30 scrips, 26 advanced while 4 declined.
The gainers were Zomato by 7.43 pc to Rs 219, ICICI Bank by 3.40 pc to Rs 1311.45,
M& M by 3.07 pc to Rs 2787 and Tata Motors by 2.74 pc to Rs 679.
The losers were Reliance Industries by 0.03 pc to Rs 1240, Bharti Airtel by 0.31 pc to Rs 1634.35, Tech Mahindra by 0.45 pc to Rs 1433.20 and Bajaj Finserv by 1.53 pc to Rs 1847.
