Mumbai, Apr 28 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Monday zoomed 1064.76 pts, breaching 80K level at 80,0276 till noon following gains in Reliance Industries, Sun Pharma and SBI stocks.
US market, European Market and Asian Market were also seen strong.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 294.25 pts at 24,333.60 pts.
Erasing losses in the last two sessions, the day opened positively at 79,343.63, rising 131 pts. Till noon, it had spurted over 1000 pts.
The same scene was witnessed in Nifty too.
It was trading at 24,333.60, advancing 394 pts.
The BSE Sensex registered an intraday high at 80,305.03 and an intraday low at 79,341.35 respectively.
The Nifty registered a day's high at 24,352.10 and low at 24,054.95 pts.
The mid cap moved up 1.38 pc, and the small cap by 0.68 pc.
In 30 scrips, 22 advanced while 8 declined.
The gainers were Reliance Industries by 4.98 pc to Rs 1364.50, Sun Pharma by 2.92 pc to Rs 1838.20, SBI by 2.70 pc to Rs 820.35, Tata Steel by 2.45 pc to Rs 142.10 and Axis Bank by 2.27 pc to Rs 1181.70.
The losers were HCL Technologies by 1.83 pc to Rs 1550.35, Nestle India Ltd by 0.75 pc to Rs 2396.20, Ultracemco by 0.37 pc to Rs 12191.25 and Tech Mahindra by 0.34 pc to Rs 1456.60.
