Serbia & Canada claim first FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup titles

Bangkok, Mar 17 (UNI) The Serbian men's team and the Canadian women's team emerged victorious at the inaugural FIBA 3x3 Champions Cup 2025.
In the men's final on Sunday, Serbia, a dominant force in 3x3 basketball, faced off against the Netherlands in a tightly contested match. The two teams were tied at 16-16 in the final minute,
but a foul by the Dutch side sent Serbia to the free-throw line in the closing seconds.
Serbia seized the opportunity, clinching a narrow 17-16 victory to claim the title.
The women's final was equally intense, with Canada and Spain locked in a fierce battle.
Canada edged ahead in the final moments, securing a 15-13 win to take home the trophy. Australia claimed two bronze medals, as both their men's and women's teams triumphed in their respective third-place matches.
China's women's team, entering the competition as the top seed, fell short of advancing to the final four, managing only one win in the group stage.
