Jammu, May 13 (UNI) The flight operations from Jammu Airport on Tuesday resumed with a single airline-- Air India Express--operating between Delhi-Jammu-Srinagar, officials here said.
“The restoration of flight operations at all airports, including Jammu, was cleared by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) in a notice on Monday stating that the airports are fully operational for civil aircraft movements with immediate effect,” they said.
Officials said that the flight operation was immediately suspended late on Monday evening after suspected drones were spotted in Samba and other areas along the international border in Jammu.
“On Tuesday, Air India Express is operating between Delhi-Jammu-Srinagar-Jammu-Delhi routes,” they said.
However, an advisory issued by IndiGo on Monday night read, “In light of the latest developments and with your safety as our utmost priority, flights to and from Jammu, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar and Rajkot are cancelled for 13th May 2025.”
Amid escalated tensions with Pakistan post “Operation Sindoor”, India on May 10 announced the temporary closure of 32 airports across northern and western India for civil aircraft operations.
