Stalin flays Centre, not even Amit Shah, any Shah cannot rule TN

Chennai, Apr 18 (UNI) Upping his ante against the BJP government at the Centre for ignoring

Tamil Nadu's interests on various fronts, Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin on Saturday asserted that not only Union Home Minister Amit Shah, any Shah could not rule the state.

Speaking after launching Rs 418.15 crore 6,760 completed projects, laying the foundation stone for 7,369 new projects worth Rs 390 crores and distributing welfare measures worth Rs 357.43 crores

to 2,02,531 beneficiaries at an official function at Andarkuppam village in Chennai's Northern suburb of Ponneri in neighbouring Tiruvallur district, he said the Tamil soil had never allowed domination and encroachment of state's rights.

Coming down heavily on the Centre, including Mr Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said "with the elections just an year away, we are well aware of the threats to be unleashed by your agencies...People of the country are also well aware of this", he said.

"We are not slaves to be intimidated by such threats and become subservient. Not only Amit Shah, any Shah can't rule here (TN)", Mr Stalin declared.

"This is Tamil Nadu...as along of Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin is there, your plans will not come true", he thundered.
