Kabul/New Delhi, Apr 23 (UNI) The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan today condemned the Pahalgam terror attack and said such incidents undermine the efforts to ensure regional security and stability.
In a post on X, Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesperson of the Afghan Taliban foreign ministry in Kabul, said:
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan categorically condemns the recent attack on tourists in the Pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir, and expresses our condolences to the bereaved families.
“Such incidents undermine efforts to ensure regional security and stability.”
The Afghan regime’s consulate in Mumbai reposted the message on its handle.
The Afghan Taliban regime in Kabul has a long-running feud with Islamabad over terrorism, with Pakistan blaming the Taliban regime of not doing enough to contain the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, which launches attacks on the Pakistani security forces. The Kabul regime has denied any role in the TTP attacks, but Pakistan alleges they are sheltered in the border areas of Afghanistan.
