Chennai, Apr 9 (UNI) Senior BJP Leader and former Telangana Governor and
Puducherry Lt Governor Ms Tamilisai Soundararajan penned an emotional tribute
to her father and veteran Congress leader and former TNCC President Kumari
Ananthan, who passed away early this morning due to old age issues.
In a post on X, she said "I did not speak Tamil because I learned Tamil... I speak
Tamil because I was born in Tamil.... proudly."
" My father, Mr. Kumari Ananthan, who made me speak, has today passed away
with my mother... Born in a village in Kumari... With all his efforts... As a flawless
politician... With an unwavering devotion to Tamil... With the name Tamilisai... My
father's... Kanir voice, who used to call me music, music... Today, it has mixed
with music in the air... He who lived a balanced life... Today, seeing all those he
raised... living a balanced life... Proudly... Congratulating... and leaving us... "
"His name will remain forever . .. . In Tamil Nadu politics.. I must say that the first
person to speak in Tamil in Parliament has merged with Tamil today.... Go with joy,
father... Whatever you thought you wanted to do for the people... keeping that in
mind... in your name... we will do it... with determination... we send you on your
way... your way, your way...... As you always say... we too should be happy.. and
make others happy.. we will always fulfill your wish... Go with joy, father", she wrote.
"I did not speak Tamil because I learned Tamil, I speak Tamil because Tamil was
