Telangana Governor inaugurates blood donation camp on world blood donor day

Hyderabad, June 14 (UNI) The Governor of Telangana and President of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Telangana State Branch, Jishnu Dev Varma, inaugurated a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Samkruthi, Raj Bhavan Community Hall, on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day 2025.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor expressed gratitude to all voluntary blood donors for their life-saving service, describing it as an act of seva—a sacred duty towards humanity. He noted that their selfless contributions not only save lives but also bring hope to countless families in need.
The Governor lauded the efforts of motivators, organisers, and CSR partners who have consistently supported the cause of voluntary blood donation. He also commended the dedicated role of doctors and Red Cross volunteers in ensuring the safety and efficiency of blood collection.
Members of the Raj Bhavan Pariwar and security personnel actively participated in the camp and donated blood.
On this occasion, the Governor presented certificates to the blood donors and honoured NGOs and institutional representatives for their outstanding contributions to society through voluntary service and CSR initiatives.
The event was attended by the Principal Secretary to the Governor and Chairman of IRCS Telangana, M Dana Kishore, Joint Secretary to the Governor, J. Bhavani Shankar; senior Raj Bhavan officials; IRCS State and District functionaries; volunteers; and other dignitaries.
