Telangana Govt provides ongoing relief to citizens returning from border regions

Hyderabad, May 11 (UNI) The Government of Telangana, under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, continues to provide comprehensive relief and support to citizens returning from border areas.
Telangana Bhawan in New Delhi is serving as the central coordination hub for these efforts and remains fully equipped to accommodate and assist returnees.
As of now, a total of 126 individuals have arrived at Telangana Bhawan. Among them, 91 people reached the facility since last midnight. These include students from NIT Srinagar, students and faculty from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences, employees working in Jammu & Kashmir, students from Lovely Professional University in Punjab, and others who were residing or studying in the affected border regions.
Of the total, 57 individuals have already departed for their respective hometowns after receiving necessary assistance. The remaining returnees are currently being accommodated at Telangana Bhawan, where they are provided with free food, lodging, medical aid, and transportation for their onward journeys. The government is maintaining close coordination with concerned district administrations and central authorities to ensure the safe and seamless movement of all citizens.
Dr Gaurav Uppal, Resident Commissioner of Telangana Bhawan, is personally overseeing the operations and preparedness to receive further arrivals. Additional citizens are expected by tomorrow morning, and all necessary arrangements have already been made to welcome and support them.
The Telangana Government reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the welfare of its people and will continue these efforts until every stranded individual is brought home safely, an official statement said on Sunday night.
