Telangana to be developed into One Trillion US dollar economy in next 10 years : CM

Hyderabad, Jun 2 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday said ‘Telangana Raising -2047' action plan has already been prepared and the state would be developed into a one trillion US dollar economy in the next 10 years and a 3 trillion US dollar economy by 2047.

Hoisting the National Flag on the Telangana formation Day celebrations at Parade Grounds here, Revanth said the state's contribution to the National GDP would be increased to 10 percent by 2047 against five percent currently.

The State Government is working in a mission mode to make Telangana play a pivotal role in developing India into a 30 trillion US dollar economy, he said.

The government envisaged plans to develop Telangana as the number one developed state in the country, as well as in the entire world. he said, “I strongly hope that everyone will support the People's Government in delivering transparent administration and comprehensive development of the state”.

The State Government took an apolitical stance on the protection and integrity of the country. The CM said that our unflinching support to the Union Government and the Indian Army after the Pahalgam Terrorist attack is a testament to the commitment of the government in safeguarding India.

The people's government is moving fast to promote the youngest state of Telangana as the best destination for global investments, he claimed that the state has achieved a milestone in attracting investments from global giant companies during the recent Davos, Singapore, and Japan visits.

The state government has inked agreements with companies for more than Rs 3 lakh crore investments, he said. IT giants like Google, Microsoft, Cognizant, and HCL are already expanding their operations in Hyderabad. This could be the first stepping stone under the "Telangana Raising".

Plans are underway to develop Hyderabad at par with other developed Metro cities in the world and compete with them, he said. The Musi rejuvenation project has already been launched to revive the historical Musi River and construct Bapu Ghat to international standards.

The government envisaged plans to develop Future City (outskirts of Hyderabad) on 30,000 acres with state-of-the-art facilities, he said AI City, Pharma city, Sports City, Life Sciences, and Health City are also being developed.

Future City Development Authority has already been constituted to take up such big projects, he informed.

Measures have been taken to increase the number of Airports in Telangana , and all required permissions were given to the revival of Mamunuru airport, he said.

Aiming for the development of Hyderabad City, the government took up the construction of Regional Ring Road for Rs 18,000 crore, and works have already started, said Revanth.

A radial road network will be developed to connect the ORR and RRR. Metro Rail expansion and Regional Rail projects are under active consideration, he said

The Metro Rail second phase project costing Rs 24,000 crore is being taken up to meet the growing needs of public transportation in the future, he informed.

With a slogan of " Telangana Zaroor Aana" , Hyderabad hosted the 72nd Miss World Pageant, and delegates from more than 100 countries participated. The delegates visited the historical heritage sites in Telangana and spread the glory of Telangana across the world, said the CM.

The Police Department was strengthened for the strict maintenance of law and order, and several stringent measures were taken to curb the drug menace, he said.

Telangana Police stood first in the country as per India Justice Report -2025, and Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement wing won the prestigious award in Dubai recently, he said.

The state government is implementing various welfare schemes effectively and supporting the poorer sections for their upliftment, he said.

Measures have been taken to enhance the BC quota to 42 per cent in education, employment, and local bodies, he said.

The Caste Census conducted by the Telangana is a role model for the country, Revanth said. The government conducted the survey scientifically and finalised the BC population of 50.36 per cent in the state.

The government enacted a law for the enhancement of the BC quota in the Assembly and Legislative Council. The Union Government followed Telangana's footsteps and announced the conduct of the caste census, he said.

The people's government kept its word in the implementation of SC sub categorisation. The SC sub castes were divided into 3 groups and accorded a statutory status. February 4 is observed as "social justice day" every year, the CM said.

The government constituted the Education Commission, Agriculture Commission and Information Commission, Lokayukta and HRC to ensure that the systems function independently, he said.

The State Government decided to issue special cards with QR code to all women self self-help groups(SHGs). All the details of the women's groups will be updated in the special cards. The government's main objective is to empower women as " Mahalakshmi " and be economically strong, he said.

Women Self Help Groups are encouraged to set up Solar power generation plants and compete with India's richest entrepreneurs Ambani and Adani, he said the women groups are already promoted as budding entrepreneurs by allotting them Petrol Pumps, establishment of Mahila Shakti canteens, stitching of the school uniforms, and school management.

The government established 100 Indira Mahila Shakti stalls at the Shilparamam in Hitech city to promote the products manufactured by the women's groups in the global markets. The international delegates during the Bharat Summit and Miss World competition in Hyderabad visited the stalls and commended the women groups, he said.

All the official functioning systems were disintegrated, and the state economy was completely ruined in the previous dispensation ( BRS tenure). The people’s government was overburdened with the completely dismantled system and took the responsibility of streamlining every sector, he said.

Taking it as a big challenge, the government embarked on the reconstruction of Telangana to fulfill the aspirations of the people. The ruined systems were rectified and put things right one by one, he added.

Earlier, the CM paid floral tributes to Telangana Martyrs at Martyrs memorial , Gun Pak, on the occasion of Telangana formation day.
