Telangana to launch slot booking system for faster, transparent registrations

Hyderabad, Apr 8 (UNI) Telangana Revenue, Housing, Information, and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced the introduction of a slot booking system to modernize sub-registrar offices and provide fast, transparent, and corruption-free services across the state.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Minister said the new system, set to roll out from April 10 on a pilot basis in 22 sub-registrar offices, will allow citizens to complete the registration process within 10–15 minutes, eliminating long wait times. People can book convenient time slots through the website registration.telangana.gov.in, while five emergency walk-ins will be allowed daily from 5 to 6 PM.
To handle congestion, 48 time slots will be allocated daily, and in high-demand offices like Qutbullapur, Additional Sub-Registrars are being appointed, increasing availability to 144 slots. The reorganization of jurisdictions is also underway to balance workload, starting with the merger of Champapet and Saroor Nagar sub-registrar areas.
