Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds likely in Telangana in next 48 hours: Met Dept

Hyderabad, Apr 14 (UNI) Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds ranging between 30–40 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Nagarkurnool districts of Telangana during the next 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Centre.
In its daily weather report issued on Monday, the Met Centre stated that the same situation is likely to prevail in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri,Vikarabad districts of the state on Tuesday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places across Telangana over the next seven days.
Maximum temperatures in the state are expected to rise by 2–3 degrees Celsius during the next three days.
According to media reports, hailstorms occurred at isolated places in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jangaon, Khammam, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mulugu, and Suryapet districts during the past 24 hours. Rain was also recorded at one or two places in the state during the same period.
The highest maximum temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad on Sunday, the report added.
