Tonnes of flowers used for annual Srivari pushpayagam

Tirumala, Nov 9 (UNI) The procession of tonnes of flowers was held on Saturday in connection with the annual Srivari Pushpayagam.
Speaking on the occasion, TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary said every year the annual Pushpayagam is observed grandly in Tirumala. To waive off the sins committed either knowingly or unknowingly by the temple staff as well as the pilgrims, the Pushpayagam is performed.
On Saturday nine tonnes of 17 varieties of flowers, and six types of leaves were donated by donors which includes five tonnes from TN and two tonnes each from AP and Karnataka, he added.
