Tripura Biotechnology Department wins SKOCH award for College Biotech Club

Agartala, Mar 21 (UNI) Tripura Biotechnology department has been selected for the prestigious SKOCH Award for its College Biotech Club project, which was launched three years ago to ignite young minds for innovation and to promote scientific activities.
Science, Technology, and Environment Minister Animesh Debbarma said that the award will be presented through a ceremonial function at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on March 29 along with other winners from across the country in different categories.
Like previous years, internationally acclaimed independent organization SKOCH reviewed 400 exceptional projects and initiatives in good governance, environmental protection, and innovative technology from government agencies from 27 states of the country where Tripura Biotechnology Department has been declared one of the three winners, Debbarma said.
