Lucknow, Apr 1 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board has approved an ambitious project worth Rs 13.68 crore to develop tourism facilities around the Ranipur Tiger Reserve in Chitrakoot.
The primary goal of this initiative is to bring tourists closer to nature and establish Chitrakoot as a world-class eco-tourism destination.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said, "Chitrakoot is not just a religious site but also a unique place enriched with the calmness of nature and biodiversity. Tourists visiting here can enjoy both spirituality and nature. The Ranipur Tiger Reserve is a major attraction in this region and the government is developing state-of-the-art facilities to enhance the visitor experience. This includes the construction of comfortable and modern cottages and other infrastructure."
He said that the project will include significant infrastructural developments such as open public spaces, yoga and meditation centre, cottages under various categories an administrative building, an office, a cloakroom, separate male and female restroom blocks, a multipurpose hall, a party lawn, a kitchen and a restaurant.
The Minister said that other amenities like service rooms, boundary wall, an entrance gate and green pathways will also be developed. "The government aims to make Chitrakoot a key eco-tourism hub, not only attracting visitors but also creating new employment opportunities and boosting economic prosperity for local communities," he said.
