UP: Man dies, brothers injured after being shot by miscreants

Shahjahanpur (UP), Apr 29 (UNI) A 40-year-old man was killed and his two brothers were injured after being shot by miscreants allegedly over minor dispute in Chowk Kotwali area of Shahjahanpur district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said here on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Dwivedi said that Kamlesh, a resident of Azizganj under Chowk Kotwali area, had a dispute with Sheru late on Monday night. "After the dispute, Sheru called his friends Ramnivas, Sumit, Ram Kishore and an unidentified person to the spot and started thrashing Kamlesh and shot him," he said.
He said that on receiving the information, Kamlesh's two brothers, Akhilesh and Jitendra also reached the spot. "Both of them were also shot by the miscreants. After this, the accused also set a loader parked near the house on fire," he said.
The SP said that after the incident, forces from three police stations were sent to the spot. "The injured were admitted to the Medical College from where Kamlesh and Jitendra were referred to Higher Centre in Lucknow is a serious condition. Kamlesh died during treatment in Lucknow," he said.
He said that the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) against Sheru, Ram Kishore, Ramnivas, Sumit and an unidentified person and have started searching for the accused.
