Vehicle of a militant associate attached in Budgam

Srinagar, Apr 19 (UNI) Police in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Saturday said they attached a vehicle belonging to a known militant associate under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967.



Police said the seized vehicle, an Innova, in possession of Mudasir Ahmad Rather, resident of Kantbagh Kralpora, Budgam was linked to a terror module.

“The seizure was executed under section 25 of the UAP Act in FIR No. 151/2024, registered under the provisions of Police Station Chadoora,” police statement said.



It added that this action underscored the zero-tolerance policy of the Budgam Police in countering terrorism and dismantling its support structures.

Srinagar, Apr 19 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau has unearthed a major corruption in the dredging of the flood spill channel of the Hokersar wetland- a Ramsar-designated wetland of international importance on Srinagar outskirts.
The dredging project was initiated to enhance the flood-carrying capacity of the spill channel in the aftermath of the devastating 2014 floods, aiming to mitigate future flood risks in Srinagar. Known as the “Queen of Wetlands,” Hokersar plays a critical ecological role and is home to numerous migratory bird species.
