Visakhapatnam: Old DCA building to be renamed after Dr Ambedkar : VPA Chairperson

Visakhapatnam, Apr 14 (UNI) Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) Chairperson Dr. M. Angamuthu on Monday announced that the old DCA Building is proposed to be renamed as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan as a mark of honour to the architect of the Constitution.
Paying tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his Birth Anniversary here, Dr. Angamuthu stated that the Constitution of India, formulated under the visionary leadership of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, continues to guide the Nation, making this a momentous day for all citizens.
In a significant move towards encouraging education, he informed that a Fellowship will be introduced to the meritorious school children residing in the vicinity of VPA.
Durgesh Kumar Dubey, Deputy Chairperson, P.S.L. Swami, Chief Vigilance Officer, Heads of Departments. Senior Officers, VPA, and employees witnessed and paid tributes on the occasion.
VPA SC/ST Officers Association and SC/ST Employees Welfare Association organized the programme and paid their tributes.
