Prayagraj, Mar 21 (UNI) The lawyers of the Allahabad High Court will oppose the repatriation of Delhi High Court judge Justice Yashwant Verma to Allahabad.
The Supreme Court Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna-led collegium has recommended the repatriation of Justice Yashwant Verma from the Delhi High Court to the Allahabad High Court after a 'huge amount of cash' was allegedly recovered from his residence.
Talking to the reporters, Secretary of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association Vikrant Pandey on Friday said, "The allegation against Yashwant Verma is serious. A huge amount of cash has been recovered from his residence. We have come to know about this from the media. The bar will not accept him here at any cost. We have called a general meeting on March 24 at 1 PM, where we will talk to the advocates of Allahabad HC, and we are going to strongly oppose it."
