Zimbabwe hold nerve to win first Test by three wickets against Bangladesh

Zimbabwe hold nerve to win first Test by three wickets against Bangladesh

Sylhet, Apr 23 (UNI) Zimbabwe won the first Test against Bangladesh by three wickets in a dramatic finish at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium here on Wednesday.
Wesley Madhevere reverse-swept a boundary to get the winning runs off Mehedi Hasan Miraz, who had given Bangladesh an unlikely chance of winning with his second five-wicket haul of the match.
The visitors looked set for a comfortable victory when they had raced to 95 in the 21st over without losing any wicket, chasing a modest target of 174. However, Miraz's five-for with Taijul Islam's brace gave Bangladfesh a fighting chance in fading light.
