Visakhapatnam, Apr 9 (UNI) A spellbinding performance of the traditional "Gorkha Fury" Khukri martial dance marked the culmination of the harbour phase of Exercise Tiger Triumph 2025 in Visakhapatnam, drawing loud applause from US personnel and symbolising the enduring camaraderie and mutual respect between the Indian and American armed forces.
Performed by soldiers of the 8 Gorkha Infantry Battalion Group, the energetic display combined combat skill, cultural pride and martial tradition, providing a fitting cultural highlight to the intensive joint training under the tri-services Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise.
The Gorkhas' enthralling show of discipline and martial agility set the tone for the closing ceremony of the harbour phase, which saw high-level participation from both nations. Among those present were Rear Admiral Greg Newkirk, Commander, Task Force 70, US Navy, and senior officers from HQ Eastern Naval Command and Integrated Defence Staff.
