'The Emergency Diaries’ launched at BJP state office in Itanagar

Itanagar, June 30 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh BJP President Kaling Moyong on Monday officially launched the book “The Emergency Diaries – Years That Forged a Leader” in a brief function at
the party’s state head office here.
Described as a powerful memoir, the book chronicles the Emergency period (1975-77), highlighting the courage and resilience of those who stood firm against authoritarian rule, risking their lives to uphold democratic values.
Moyong praised the book for its vivid portrayal of a young 25-year-old RSS Pracharak—now Prime Minister Narendra Modi—who risked his life to support the resistance movement by working underground, distributing pamphlets, and organizing support for the families of imprisoned activists.
Calling the memoir “a tribute to the spirit of resistance and the unwavering courage that defines true leadership,” Moyong urged the youth to read the book and draw inspiration from it. He emphasized its relevance as a reminder of the sacrifices made for India’s democratic fabric.
‘The Emergency Diaries’ serves as a poignant reminder of the price paid for freedom and the importance of safeguarding democratic values for future generations.
The event, convened by Tarh Tarak, saw the presence of senior state office bearers and party workers.
